About Megan

Megan Douglas is an actor and costume designer who quite literally wears her heart on her sleeve, stitching together (pun fully intended) the shared threads of emotion that connect women in this ever-shifting world of 21st-century womanhood. She creates to find belonging and to make space for others to recognise their own reflection in the quiet, powerful feelings that echo between us.

Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, Megan is a professionally trained actor who studied theatre and performance in the Full-Time Program at 16th Street Actors Studio (2017-2018), studying under the guidance of renowned mentors including, but not limited to, Iain Sinclair, Elizabeth Kemp, Les Chantery and Anthony Wong. Upon graduation, Megan went on to star as the supporting role of Tilly in Zane Borg's internationally renowned debut feature film, The Library Boys (2019), winner of the Comedy Vanguard Feature award at the 2022 Austin Film Festival, TX.

In 2020, Megan relocated to Sydney where she completed a number of projects, including Hyun Lee's debut feature film French Girls (2022, post-production), various short films, music videos and television commercials.

Megan continues to explore the Australian artistic landscape, and has expanded her creative repertoire, signing on as the lead costume designer for Zane Borg’s latest feature film, River (2024), starring Shabana Azeez (The Pitt), Mia Barrett (Sunflower), and William McKenna (The Messenger, Nowhere Boys)

When she's not immersed in acting or costume design, you’ll probably find Megan surrounded by her nearest and dearest with a cheeseboard in one hand and a glass of Pinot Grigio in the other. A self-proclaimed thrifting expert, she delights in uncovering unique treasures that add charm and character to her world. And when the perfect find proves elusive, she creates it herself crafting pieces like handmade jewellery, which she previously sold under her own label, Lover Girl.
